[edit] ICT Update - 22/06/10

Uncle Steve yesterday began the roll out of the new build. The new build is required to overcome some printing problems that some rooms have experienced recently.

Those of you with 'experimental' desktops may have to see Mr Berry to get them reset.



[edit] Activity Days 2010 - 21/06/10

The 'paper trail' for the Activity Days is well under way. Please get your forms into Mr Berry as soon as possible.

Remember that letters are handed out at the end of the day in the hall - if you fail to be in the hall you may miss getting your letter.

John Chard Centre

The John Chard Centre (JCC) is the primary department of Mount Tamar School. At the end of Key Stage 2 pupils either return to main stream education or transfer to the secondary department.

Secondary Department

The Secondary Department is where the Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 pupils are taught at Mount Tamar School.

Hamoaze House

Hamoaze House is where Mount Tamar Schools' off site facility for pupils in Key Stage 4 is based.

Mount Tamar Mathematics Department is a progressive, forward looking, cohesive department; striving for success through effective teaching and learning.

ICT Department

The Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Department at Mount Tamar School prides itself on being a forward thinking, an 'ahead of the game' department where pupils are introduced to the latest hardware and software at the earliest possible opportunity.

Remember: “Children cannot be effective in tomorrow’s world if they are trained in yesterday’s skills” - this statement was made by 'Her Majesties Inspectors' (HMI) in 1998 and it is as important today if not more so!
