Mount Tamar School - Editing MTS-Wiki

Contents

Introduction

  • MTS-Wiki can only be edited by logged in users.
  • Only Mr Berry can create users.

Editing a Page

  • We suggest that you 'experiment' with your own personal page before you edit other pages or documents.
  • Once you have logged in go to your personal page - the link for which will be at the top of the page.
  • When you click on your personal page link you will see a new page open up which you can type into.

Adding Text to Your Page

  • Text can be added in two ways:
    • typed in directly
    • copy and pasted from another document
  • To preview what you page will look like go to the bottom of the page and click <Show preview>
  • Initially text will appear without any formatting
  • Use one of the links below to help with the formatting

Adding Images to Your Page

  • Before an image can be included in a page it needs to be 'uploaded'
    • Please remember the Mount Tamar School policy on using images
    • No images may be used unless they are copyright free or you have written permission to use them
  • You must remember the name you have called the image
  • Include the image in your page and make sure that it displays before you experiment with any other effects

Frames and Effects

  • The easiest way to get effects onto your page is to copy and paste them
    • Find a page you want to use somewhere else
    • Click on <Edit>
    • Copy the whole page - <Ctrl><A> selects all and <Ctrl><C> copies it
    • Return to your page and paste in the new section - <Ctrl><V> pastes it
    • Carry out your edits to make the page your own

Links to Blank Pages

The pages below can be opened and the scripts copied to create your own pages.
