Increase in Scarlet Fever and Group A Streptococcal Infections

We need to be vigilant and take precautions in the face of rising prevalence of Strep A and Scarlet Fever.

You may have seen in the news that Strep A and Scarlet Fever are particularly prevalent at the moment.

UK Health Security Agency have contacted all schools today asking us to send letters to our parents and carers - I attach a copy for your information.

Please be vigilant with our pupils and continue to remind them all about the importance of hand washing.

The diseases are spread by close contact with an infected person and can be passed by coughs and sneezes so please also look after yourselves and others by following the guidance given around hand washing and sneezing etc.

#staysafe!
